Roy Battles

Roy Battles was born and raised on a fruit, vegetable and dairy farm in Geauga County. He served as a County Extension Agent in Clermont County. He is known for his ability to "sort out the facts" as well as being a tireless worker, team player, and a friend to many youths and adults.

As a farm broadcaster with WLW radio in Cincinnati, he planned, produced and aired outstanding farm and home broadcasts. On the National level, Roy provided public relations for agriculture, edited agricultural publications, developed educational materials, coordinated legislative programs, initiated rural and community improvement programs, wrote speeches and position papers for the three presidents - Nixon, Ford and Carter, and the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture.
